Business Portfolio: Portfolio

Supplement Sales (New Sectors)

Responsibilities

  • Currently marketed to end users in Oil and Gas Sector only.

  • Devised to target distributors & local retailers in other sectors.

Accomplishments

  • Coordinated company movement into Manufacturing & Industrial sectors through appointed distributors & local retailers.

  • Supplemented sales by 18%.

Supply Chain Management

Responsibilities

  • Chaired team research on various freight options depending on size and location.

  • Statistical analysis showed goods from India was quicker to ship by sea through Singapore & from China, by air freight.

  • Evaluated price, lead time & incentives submitted by freight companies.

Accomplishments

  • Reduced freight shipping companies from 5 to 2 for domestic & international shipment. 

  • Saved 6% on shipping costs.

  • Prune goods pricing by approximately 4%.

Stocking

Responsibilities

  • Lead Time & Motion analysis exhibit average lead time for packaging was 7 minutes.

  • Organized fast moving goods in front & slow moving goods at the back of warehouse.

  • Created stock card for each goods to track stock movement.

Accomplishments

  • Implemented stock check on the last working day of the month with warehousing team.

  • Reduced average lead time for packaging to 4 minutes which progressed efficiency by 43%.  

Client Feedback

Responsibilities

  • Consulted with major clients to identify successes, failures & lessons learned.

  • Common feedback -  box packaging to be improved.

  • Formulated various packaging process with warehouse team. 


Accomplishments

  • Authorized usage of high quality plastic packaging instead of cardboard boxes.

  • Decreased average shipping cost by 3% per shipment through weight reduction & box replacement. 

International Markets

Responsibilities

  • Influenced company to explore new markets.

  • Pioneered expansion with existing company products.

  • Team research revealed certain products perform optimally in certain regions due to climate differences & regulations.

  • Persuaded movement into Myanmar, Vietnam & Brunei. Partnered with local distributors & offered our range of products.

  • Contributed in establishing consignment stocking concept & free shipping on orders above $79.

  • Controlled promotional weekly newsletters – Mail Chimp - to all clients.

  • Registered company on various websites – AliBaba, Hotfrog, Exports India, Google Business – to widen network.

  • Took initiative to view India & Pakistan for similar goods.

  • Distributed interpretation of information (price, lead time, & QC/QA) among team.

  • Collaborated sourcing for higher quality products from different regions.

  • Facilitated from purchasing wholesale to manufacturing safety work wear in India.

  • Compressed coverall costing by 33% & other goods by 13%.

  • Singapore – Specialized gloves & SOLAS Approved Floatation Devices. Europe – Winter Coveralls & Safety Shoes.

Finance (Pricing Structure & Revenue)

Responsibilities

  • Explored pricing structure through data review.

  • Quantified which sector provided maximum revenue & top performing clients.

  • Offered top clients improved pricing on products.

  • Discovered higher profit margin with smaller companies compared with bigger companies.

  • Built revenue by 12%. annually

Finance (Expenditure)

Responsibilities

  • Logistics constituted 13% of expenditure due to many small shipments.

  • 16% of expenditure was warehousing & found unused space.


Accomplishments

  • Spearheaded consolidation of shipment to lower frequency

  • Reduced logistics expenditure by 3%.

  • Directed reorganization of warehouse layout & able to rent out space saved for a monthly fee

Client Monthly Report

Responsibilities

  • Focused & composed monthly report (pricing, delivery time & products) on client’s offtake.

  • Assessed fast & slow moving products. 


Accomplishments

  • Conveyed information to team through presentations.

  • Tracked clients purchasing pattern & able to forecast stocking levels of each item.

  • An example was Green Helmets – lowest movement item by Transocean. Hence, reduced stocking level with client’s approval.
